Celebrating 14 years of the historical Hill Tracts Peace Treaty
PHOTOGRAPHY BANGLADESH is going to arrange a PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST named ""“Wind of Peace in the Hills”"".
Historical Hill Tracts Peace Treaty will reach its 14 years mark on upcoming 2nd Dec 2011. Chittagon...g Hill Tracts went through massive socio-economical-political changes after signing of this treaty. Increased activities in commerce, health, education, agriculture and tourism sector of this area has brought affirmative changes at every sphere of their lives. People of Chittagong Hill Tracts can afford to dream a new day now.
Therefore, PHOTOGRAPHY BANGLADESH has issued a call for photographers to participate The Photo Contest – part of effort to raise awareness about the issues of Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace and their social consequences.
**PRIZES:
Prizes for "WIND OF PEACE IN THE HILLS PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST” will be as follows:
1ST PRIZE: BDT. 40,000/-
2ND PRIZE: BDT. 25,000/-
3RD PRIZE: BDT. 15,000/-
& 7 Nos. Complimentary Awards of Crest, Certificates and Traveling allowance.

***EC Member of PGBD is not allowed to participate in this contest***
The Prize giving ceremony will be held at the Theater Institute Chittagong on 13th December 2011.

RULES & REGULATION FOR PARTICIPATING THE CONTEST:
1. GENERAL
1.1 - By entering the Photography Contest organized by PHOTOGRAPHY BANGLADESH (PGBD), You agree and acknowledge that PGBD Organizing Committee is permitted to receive Your registration data. All personal information will be used by PGBD in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
1.2.- Submitted photos should be taken in CTG Hill Tracts and it’s beauty, resources, people’s life style, prosperity, beauty, Moments etc.
1.3- This Photography Contest is open to all Photographers Around The World.
2. SUBMISSION & ENTRY
2.1- To enter, you must send your image(s) via email or courier to the following addresses:

2.2- You may submit a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 10 images.
2.3- Last date of Photo(s) submission is -Saturday, 15th December 2011.
2.4 - Submission Fees Tk. 100/- will be applicable for the each submitted picture and will be deposited to the following account:

2.5- Your photos must have been taken with a digital camera. Retouched works are accepted but not recommended.
2.6- Image Size should be minimum 4MB & the maximum size of 8MB, saved as JPEG (.jpg) in RGB format and must be no longer than 2500 pixels on the longest side.
2.7- Submission Fees deposit slip copy should be sent along with the submitted photos. If, the submission fees not deposited, the photo(s) will not be accepted.
2.8- Qualified images will be selected as a nominee and the winners will be selected among these nominees. The finalists will be notified by email & phone. The winners for "Wind of Peace in the Hills Photography Contest" will be announced at the Awards ceremony in CTG THEATER INSTITUTE on, December 13, 2011.
3. REGULATIONS:
3.1- The decision of the Honorary Juries and PGBD Organizing Committee is final and no negotiation will be entered into with respect to any such decision.
3.2- Any EC Member of the PGBD is not allowed to participate in this contest.
3.3- PGBD reserves the right to disqualify and remove any entry that does not comply with the following requirements, even after the entry is submitted. You warrant and represent, in respect of each entry submitted by You (“Entry”), as follows:
3.3.1 - You are the sole owner and author of each Entry.
3.3.2 - You have the right to make Your entry available for the Competition.
3.2.3 - Each Entry should be taken in CTG HILL TRACTS and it’s lifestyle and resources.
3.3.4 - Each Entry does not contain personally identifiable information about You or any other person(s)
3.3.5 - Each Entry does not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content
3.3.6 - Each Entry does not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law
3.3.7 - Each Entry does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person’s rights of privacy or publicity, and
3.4 Your Entry does not include:
3.4.1- Trademarks owned by third parties
3.4.2- Copyrighted materials owned by third parties (including movie dialogue or musical compositions)
3.4.3- Names, likenesses, voices or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead
3.4.4- Entries that contain any commercial content that promotes any product or service other than that of PGBD.
3.4.5- You agree to fully indemnify PGBD in respect of all royalties, fees and any other monies owing to any person by reason of Your breaching any of the foregoing.
3.4.6- You confirm that each person depicted in the Entry has granted permission to be portrayed as shown. Any costumes, props or other materials used must be rented or borrowed with the permission of the owner, and all other relevant permissions must have been obtained.
